Fabric applications
The maintenance of Firegard fabrics in Trevira CS
Article published the : 2005-06-22
The Trevira CS fabric is easy to clean, dries quickly and keeps its shape. During washing, unlike other fabrics, the Trevira CS uses less water, detergents and energy. Because it absorbs less water, the drying time is also shorter. All resulting in appreciable economic advantages.

A Treatment using an oxidizing bleaching agent suggested in the current trade.
B Fresh stains: treatment using an alkaline stain-remover, rinse immediately afterwards. See above.
Old stains; treat using a stain-remover containing enzymes. Respect the rather long time of action. The stain must keep its humidity.
C Treatment using a stain-remover containing solvents, supported by a mechanical action. (Scrape, vacuum after complete drying of the solvent).
D Treatement using a stain-remover operating on the binder of the dyes. Possibly, bleach then with hydrogen peroxide.
E Fresh stains: treatment using a light organic acid (slightly acid stain-remover). Rinse immediately. See above.
Old stains; treat with the assistance of oxidizing bleaching agent suggested in the current trade.
F Treatment with the means of a rust-proof agent or an acid stain-remover proposed in the current trade. Rinse immediately. See above.
G Cut the burned or molten zone. Replace the part damaged by the same dimension piece of fabric, if one does not lay out any more a fabric, on a less visible place of the fabric and fix it using an adhesive doubles face band.
It is recommended after each stain removal to remove the possible aureoles left by applying pulverization and by extracting the product obtained.
Generalities:
Those recommendations are only general information which does not guarantee a total disappearance of the stains. We recommend that you contact a professional cleaning company.
